Christopher Miller, AIA

Chris Miller is a Associate at Granum A/I with nearly twenty years of experience with a particular focus in higher education since 2001. That focus includes projects of varying scale and type: from renovations of lab spaces, creation of tiered classrooms, and changes of use and occupancy type for entire floors to large scale new construction projects for student centers, medical education buildings, and residence halls.

Chris leads teams by stressing the need for constant communication, effective information and decision tracking, and most importantly aligning the team’s effort to the client’s vision. As a project manager, he believes in a hands on approach to his projects that keeps him not only a part of project decisions but also integral to the documentation within the computer models.

Chris has been published, quoted from, and has presented on higher education. Quotations have appeared for articles on housing in Construction Today and PCI’s Ascent Magazine, for envelope in College Planning and Management, and for neighborhood involvement at the Dorrance H. Hamilton Building in Construction Today. His presentation on consensus building in the design process was made to the SUNY Physical Plant Administrators conference in 2014.
