Patrick McGranaghan, AIA, LEED AP
Design Principal

Patrick McGranaghan, AIA serves as Design Principal for Granum A/I and is an NCARB certified architect with over twenty years of professional experience.  Patrick earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1988 and immediately pursued a professional career, first in Massachusetts, before relocating to Philadelphia.

Patrick’s professional experience includes extensive work for leading institutions of higher education, corporations, government agencies and cultural facilities.  His work has garnered numerous design awards from the AIA, IIDA, and MD/DC and NJ NAIOP chapters.

LEED accredited, Patrick is passionate about protecting the environment for future generations and limiting the environmental impact of building construction through intelligent design.  His designs reflect a dedication to creating humanistic, creative and well–integrated building designs and interior architecture.  He is a strong believer in the benefits of working and designing collaboratively with his clients and with all project team members.  Central to his design process is an emphasis on leveraging state-of-the-art computer technologies.

Patrick participates broadly in community design events.  He has often served as an architecture school design juror and guest lecturer at local institutions including the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Philadelphia University and Villanova.  He has taught architecture and urban design in Drexel University’s Architecture Department.  Patrick served the community of Chestnut Hill (Philadelphia) for three years as co-chair of the Land Use Planning and Zoning Committee.  He has also lectured at various regional and national conferences, including BOMA International, NeoCon and the Urban Land Institute.
